Arla Cream Cheese #ArlaFrostingDay

On Thursday, December 13, Arla declared the first-ever National Cream Cheese Frosting Day.

The campaign and #ArlaFrostingDay garnered 3.5MM impressions with 100% positive net sentiment, driving over 2K consumers to Arla’s website.

To spread the cream cheese frosting love, we made 13 cupcake drops to top-tier media in NYC, including Good Morning America, Wendy Williams, Rachel Ray, The Kitchn, Family Circle, Domino, PopSugar, People, Hearst, and more. Our media friendlies received “selfie” cupcakes and ate them right up, sharing them out to their own social followings.

To capture the organic content, Arla saved posts to it’s Instagram Story highlights.

We enlisted cake maker and decorator extraordinaire Alana Jones-Mann to create a celebratory cream cheese frosting cake. She posted about the food holiday on her social channels and blog, garnering over 10K likes among the many positive comments.

In addition, Arla promoted National Cream Cheese Frosting Day with paid support on its social channels and encouraged fans to participate in an enter-to-win contest for a year of free cream cheese. Over 1,000 fans commented, entering the contest by letting us know their favorite way to enjoy cream cheese frosting.

The new food holiday has also received some earned media coverage, with over 132 publications picking up the press release with potential reach of over 7MM.  The story was featured on BakeMag.com, as well as on Chicago’s Fox 32 in a segment about stress-free holiday baking. The host walked through three recipes featuring Arla cream cheese and also touted the inaugural National Cream Cheese Frosting Day.
